The Wee G Announced
It wouldn’t be St Andrew’s Weekend without a Wee G and we’re delighted to announce that our popular live music all-dayer returns on 28th November.
Energetic trad-favourites Ceòl an Aire return to Lochgoilhead to headline a fantastic showcase of live music which also includes highly tipped Edinburgh indie outfit Wrest and Connor Fyfe – who recently became the youngest act to sell out the famous King Tuts Wah Wah Hut.
The annual event follows on the back of the highly successful Virtual Gig in the Goil – which took place during lockdown and raised more than £1000 for Trussell Trust Foodbanks.
This year’s Wee G will host a range of live artists and pre-recorded sets – and with no fans allowed in the venue, it will be streamed in high quality across Facebook & YouTube, meaning that festival-goers can enjoy from the comfort of their own house (or holiday home).
“We’re delighted to reveal the line-up for this year’s Wee G” said Event Manager Ross Coutts, “Once again, we are unable to welcome fans into the event, but we couldn’t let St Andrews’ weekend pass by without an excellent bill of Scottish talent on the shores of Loch Goil”.
Other acts include highly tipped singer songwriter Robin Ashcroft, former Britain’s Got Talent star Kerr James and Tartan Army favourite Ted Christopher, as well as special sets from top local bands Heron Valley, Iain Wilson & The Camans.
The festival will begin at 12noon on Saturday 28th November, broadcasting live on the Gig in the Goil Facebook & Argyll Holidays YouTube pages. It’s completely free to watch, but we’re encouraging attendees to make a donation towards the Tiny Changes mental health charity.
