A Four-Legged Perspective
I have been so busy lately napping, snacking and occasionally stealing my human’s socks. You know, to eat the remainders out of the yogurt container and such. So busy in fact – that my humans decided to take me on a holiday to chill out! I was glad we were only driving for a little bit to get there – and I got to feel the wind in my ears the whole way!
The humans at reception gave me loads of pats and they even gave me my very own special bag with treats inside! I was very thirsty from the car ride and felt like a celebrity when I realised they had a watering hole just for me – these folks know how to treat a VIP guest.
My humans have taken me on lots of walks since we got here, there is so much to explore! I chased skimming rocks along the beach when we went cycling along the coast. I climbed BIG hills way faster than my humans even though they kept making me come back cause they are slow pokes. I even chased a squirrel through the forest, and I would have caught it if it hadn’t cheated and hidden up high in the branches! I found a stick that was almost twice as big as me and the most amazing thing I have ever seen – but my humans wouldn’t let me take it home. Buzz kills!
All our adventuring made me hungry, so we went to this special place where they bring you food right to the table! Usually, I’m not allowed to go with my family when they eat inside, but this time I got to sit next to my humans while they ate so they could give me head scratches and slip me the occasional chip. I made a friend with this pooch at the table next to us as well – we bonded over our mutual dislike of bath time, a barbaric practice our humans sometimes subject us to when we get too muddy!
My humans and I went on a boat adventure one day to a place called Cruise Loch Lomond to explore something they call the bonnie banks! After we got back ashore, we went to Fyne Ales - an amazing establishment where I was served my very own special ‘beer’ and treats made just for me! The next day the whole family went out on a self-drive boat with Loch Goil Cruisers, I saw some seals while we explored the loch but they didn't seem keen to play with me!
Overall I had a pawsome holiday and I can’t wait to come back with my humans again soon!
